Services · 03 · BUILD

Built around your business. Owned by you.

A Build is a production AI system shipped into your stack against signed acceptance criteria. Not a prototype, not a demo, not a 'PoC' that turns into shelfware. Source, models, integrations, documentation — all yours, all transferable.

03 · BUILD HB Services / Engagement ladder

A production system, not a prototype

Spec-driven. Acceptance-tested. Owned by you.

Every Build starts with the Blueprint's acceptance criteria. Nothing ships until each criterion passes a joint test against your real data. No invoicing for incomplete work, no "deploy now, refine later."

You walk away with the source code in your repo, the models configured in your account, and a runbook the team can operate without us.

What you walk away with

What's inside the Build.

Every deliverable is concrete, named, and either yours by the end of the engagement or running in your account.

  1. 01

    Purpose-built system

Designed around your workflow, not a template. We don't sell a platform; we build what your operators need.

  2. 02

    Stack integration

No rip-and-replace. The system lives inside your tools — your CRM, your DMS, your case system, your CMS.

  3. 03

    Modular architecture

Each system is a module. Modules can be paused, replaced, or upgraded independently of the others.

  4. 04

    Signed acceptance testing

Every criterion from the Blueprint is tested against real data with your team in the room. Nothing ships unsigned.

  5. 05

    Handoff documentation

Runbooks, architecture diagrams, model configurations, integration credentials. The team can operate the system without us.

  6. 06

    Source in your repo

Code, prompts, configurations — checked into a repo you own. No vendor lock-in, no rented systems.

How it ships

Same shape, every engagement.

  1. Week 0

    Blueprint locked

Build starts only after the Blueprint is signed. Scope and acceptance criteria are fixed before code.

  2. Weeks 1–6

    Spec-driven build

Agentic coding against the spec. Weekly demos against real data. Changes renegotiate the scope, not the timeline.

  3. Pre-delivery

    Acceptance

Joint testing on your data. Nothing ships until you sign each criterion off.

  4. Weeks 6–8

    Handoff

IP transfer, runbooks, recorded team training, post-launch warranty window.

Is this the right fit?

Honest about who this is for.

We say no often enough that this list isn't decoration. Most "not right for" cases are early-funnel, not unsolvable — start with the stage above.

Right for you if

  • You have a signed Blueprint (or equivalent internal spec) and you're ready to build
  • You want the system in your stack, owned by you, transferable to any future team
  • The workflow is unique enough that no off-the-shelf product fits

Not right for you if

  • You haven't done a Blueprint yet — too much uncertainty for a fixed-scope build
  • You want a SaaS subscription you can cancel month-to-month
  • The work is small enough to be a script, not a system

Where this fits

Build is the production move. Roughly half of Builds become the foundation of a Partnership; the other half ship and the client team runs them.
